About Tektronix Inc.
Tektronix was originally founded in 1945 under the name Tekrad Inc. The company name was then changed in 1946 to Tektronix Inc. In their earlier years, Tektronix specialized in manufacturing and distributing oscilloscopes. The company had been in business for over 50 years until November 21, 2007, when they were acquired by Danaher Corporation, who remains the parent company to this day. The communications division of Tektronix was transformed by Danaher into Tektronix Communications in 2016, in an effort to shift business strategy. Currently, Tektronix is a supplier of test products, measurement products,
monitoring products, and communication services for the computer and semiconductor industries. They also provide services for the military, consumer electronics, education, and other industries worldwide.
