About Leach International Corporation

Leach International Corporation’s story began in 1919 with its establishment by Val Leach, a U.S. Navy radio operator serving in WWI. In a San Francisco laboratory, Leach created an automatic antenna switch and power relay that served as the company’s first products. In 1929, the company moved itself to Los Angeles, and over the next 10 years they expanded their product portfolio to include time delay relays, aircraft switches, power monitors, power distribution products, and aircraft relays. As of the present, Leach International Corporation’s products have grown to serve the aerospace and rail industries alike across the globe. In 2004, Leach International Corporation was acquired by Esterline Technologies. In March of 2019, Esterline itself was acquired by TransDigm, who now serves as the parent company of Leach International Corporation.
