Federal Supply Code 6340, Aircraft Alarm and Signal Systems, is comprised of alarm and signal system equipment for use with aircraft. Aircraft alarm and signal systems are used to help aircraft navigate, indicate their movements, and to notify passengers, crew, and nearby aircraft and air traffic control towers of any pertinent information. FSC 6340 includes oxygen pressure signals and warning devices, air pressure warning signals, crew warning signals, altitude warning signals, alarm controls, and audible landing gear alarms. Note that FC 6340 does not include aircraft engine oil warning devices nor fuel warning devices.
